6U Division (Pee Wee) - Born 2013 and later
- Instructional league designed to help girls learn the basics of softball
- Requests to play with specific Managers, Coaches and buddies are honored if possible
- Time limit for games 60 minutes
- Team rosters of 6-8 players
- Each 1/2 inning each team bats through it’s full roster
- Coach pitch – 4 pitches, then hit off tee
- Runners should advance only one base on balls hit off tee
- Runners should advance only one base when balls are hit off a live pitch, with the exception of balls hit to the outfield. This becomes a coaching decision.
- Runners cannot advance on balls overthrown
- All players that ground out, pop-out, are tagged out or hit into a force out are out and may not remain on base.
- No scores or standings are kept
8U Division (Rookie) - Born in 2011 and 2012
- Instructional league designed to help girls learn the basics of softball, with an introduction to rules of the game
- Evenly matched matched teams are formed through a draft process, but requests to play with specific Managers, Coaches and buddies are honored if possible
- Time limit for games 90 minutes. Please see rules for further details.
- Combination of Coach Pitch and Player Pitch
- Scores and league standings will be kept
- Summer All Star Teams voted on by Managers at end of season
10U Division (Farm) - Born in 2009 and 2010
- Instructional league to continue instruction in softball fundamentals started in Rookie League
- Teams participate in Peninsula League and compete against teams from neighboring cities
- Games are six (6) innings or one hour and thirty (1:30) minutes in length, whichever limit is reached first. Please see rules for further details
- ASA rules apply except as noted in BRSYSA Rules
- Scores and league standings will be kept
- Summer All Star Teams voted on by Managers at end of season
12U Division (Minors) - Born in 2007 and 2008
- This league will provide an increased level of competition, but will continue to provide instruction with emphasis on skills and game strategy
- Teams participate in Peninsula League and compete against teams from neighboring cities
- Games are seven (7) innings or one hour and thirty (1:30) minutes in length, whichever limit is reached first. Please see rules for further details
- ASA rules apply except as noted in BRSYSA Rules
- Scores and league standings will be kept
- Select teams may be formed to compete in additional tournaments throughout the spring recreational season
- Summer All Star Teams voted on by Managers and Coaches, (2) votes per team, at end of season
14U Division (Majors) - Born in 2005 and 2006
- This league will provide an increased level of competition, but will continue to provide instruction with emphasis on skills and game strategy
- Teams participate in Peninsula League and compete against teams from neighboring cities
- Games are seven (7) innings or one hour and thirty (1:30) minutes in length, whichever limit is reached first. Please see rules for further details
- ASA rules apply except as noted in BRSYSA Rules
- Scores and league standings will be kept
- Summer All Star Teams voted on by Managers and Coaches, (2) votes per team, at end of season
